Staff Physician – Physical Medicine / Family Medicine / Sports Medicine

Overview

Successful medical practice seeks qualified family medicine / internal medicine / sports medicine MD or DO to integrate with rapid growth of practice. Familiarity with manipulations are a big plus. Overall Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of human body, relying upon accepted medical and surgical modalities:
• Examine patient to determine symptoms attributable to impairments in musculoskeletal system;
• Correct disorders and afflictions of bones, muscles, nerves, and other body systems by medicinal and surgical procedures and, when deemed beneficial, (if experienced/trained - manipulative therapy, including manipulation under anesthesia when medically necessary);
• Employ diagnostic images, drugs, and other aids to diagnose and treat bodily impairments;
• Effectively communicate with patients and other health care staff to manage patient care; and
• Refer patient for additional care as necessary (e.g. specialist physician, pain management center, emergency room, hospital); Staff Physician – Physical Medicine / Family Medicine / Sports Medicine
• Keep and maintain appropriate records relating to all professional services rendered;
• Provide home-based call services as necessary to ensure continuity of care;
• Promote the practice; and
• Cooperatively participate in practice activities, programs, and initiatives as identified by the Medical Director and/or Office Manager.

Term of Employment Initial term of employment will be 2 years, with potential for partnership at the end of initial term
