Yes, you heard it right – stand up whenever you can and burn calories. Long periods of sitting may lead to obesity, and worse still, may increase your risk for diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Standing, on the other hand, accelerates your daily caloric expenditure.

Wall Sit

Wall sit exercise can give you a stronger heart and improved blood pressure, plus beautifully toned limbs. Stand with your back against the wall. Now slowly slide your back down the wall until the thighs are parallel to the floor. Hold on for 30 to 60 seconds. For extra burn, try it with crossed legs.
