Dr. Persis Puello, MD
Dr. Persis Puello is a primary care sports medicine physician who enjoys taking care of active adults and youth, by providing them nonoperative treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Puello received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Renaissance School of Medicine at Stonybrook University in New York. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Mount Sinai South Nassau in New York and her Sports Medicine fellowship at USF-Baycare in Tampa, Florida. She has worked with highschool, college, amature and professional level athletes, most recently Toronto Blue Jays, Phillies and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Dr. Puello has a Masters of Science from Columbia University in Applied Physiology and Nutrition and a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from SUNY Cortland. Dr. Puello was an athletic trainer for sports teams of local colleges and universities in New York City for seven years before she pursued her doctorate in medicine with the loving support of her husband and two children.
