Dr. Persis Puello

Dr. Persis Puello is a dedicated primary care sports medicine physician specializing in treating active adults and youth with nonoperative solutions for musculoskeletal conditions. Her passion lies in helping individuals maintain their active lifestyles through comprehensive care. Dr. Puello earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in New York. Following this, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at Mount Sinai South Nassau, also in New York, and pursued a fellowship in Sports Medicine at USF-Baycare in Tampa, Florida. With a wealth of experience, Dr. Puello has worked extensively with athletes at various levels, including high school, college, amateur, and professional. Notably, she has contributed her expertise to teams such as the Toronto Blue Jays, Phillies, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Before her medical career, Dr. Puello earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Physiology and Nutrition from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from SUNY Cortland. For seven years, she was an athletic trainer for sports teams at local colleges and universities in New York City. Her loving husband and two children supported Dr. Puello's journey into medicine, reflecting her dedication to her profession and her family.
